Students with a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status of WARNING have failed to meet one or more of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. You have one term (fall, spring, or summer) to meet the SAP standards once placed on warning.
When Do I Need to Correct My SAP Progress?
You must improve your SAP status by the end of the next term you enroll in (fall, spring, or summer).
What happens if I don't correct my SAP Progress in one term?
Failure to meet SAP in the subsequent semester will result in disqualification from Financial Aid. Your Financial Aid SAP status does not affect your California College Promise Grant (CCPG) eligibility. However, your Citrus College Academic Progress could result in your future loss of CCPG eligibility.
Will I Still Receive My Financial Aid While On Warning?
During the warning period, you may be eligible to receive financial aid.
How Can I Correct My SAP Progress?
You are strongly encouraged to:
- Contact the Counseling and Advising Center and schedule an appointment with a Citrus College advisor.
- Complete GetSAP counseling online.
Do I get a warning if I exceed the maximum timeframe?
No, you may be disqualified for financial aid prior to starting the semester and/or after just one semester without receiving a warning, if you exceed the number of maximum units allowed for their program or complete a degree.
