Below is a list of common registration errors students encounter on Wingspan and solutions.
Resolution:
1. Review your holds on WingSpan. The hold description will let you know that type of hold you have (i.e. fee hold, verify name with A&R, etc.) and the action you need to take to remove the hold.
2. Once hold removed, you should be able to register for the course.
Resolution:
1. Check your unofficial transcript for a satisfactory grade. Please submit the course repetition petition if you believe you are eligible for an exemption to repeat the course.
2. Once grades are posted for the current term, re-attempt registration.
Explanation: This class requires an add authorization code.
Resolution: An add authorization code is required once the term or session for that class has started. An add authorization code may be obtained from the instructor at their discretion. If you obtain an add code from the instructor, the code will become active on the first day the class meets. For example, an add code for a Friday only class will become active on the first Friday class that is scheduled to meet and will expire by the add deadline.

Explanation: The last date to add this class has passed.
Resolution: The last day to add this class has passed. Please review the open class list for a different section. If you were in attendance prior to census date, you may be able to petition for a late add.
Explanation: There is a waitlist for this class. The number shown is how many students are on the waitlist.
Resolution: If you want to place yourself on the waitlist, choose the action "Waitlist" from the drop down menu. Please review this article for more information on the waitlist.
Explanation: Your academic history shows you completed 30 units in basic skills.
Resolution: Visit the admissions and records office to obtain a 30-unit waiver petition. You will need to meet with a counselor for approval. Once this petition has been approved, please submit the petition to the admissions and records office.
Explanation: This class requires you to add the co-requisite class listed at the same time.
Resolution: This class requires you to add both CRNs at the same time. Enter both CRNs and click on Submit Changes button on Wingspan.
If you passed the co-requisite class at another college, please submit the prerequisite clearance form and attach unofficial transcripts.
Explanation: The class you are attempting to add requires department approval.
Resolution: The class you are attempting to add requires clearance from the department. Contact the department the class is in for clearance.
Explanation: Students are only allowed to be enrolled in the same class once a term unless the class is repeatable and the student already received a passing grade or the student received a substandard grade or withdrawal in the same class in the same term.
Resolution: Student will be able to add the new course once the student drops the currently enrolled course or a substandard grade is issued in the currently enrolled course.
Explanation: Your student level prevents registration.
Resolution: Contact the admissions and records office. Noncredit students cannot enroll in credit classes until they complete a credit application. Credit students are not allowed to enroll into certain noncredit classes without the approval of the Noncredit program.
Maximum Number of Hours/Units Exceeded
Explanation: The maximum number of units/hours a student may enroll in for a semester (fall and spring) is 21 units. The maximum number of units a student may enroll in a term/session (summer and winter) is 13 units. Students reinstated from academic or progress probation may be furthered limited in the number of units they may enroll in. High school students are subject to limits of 11 units in fall and spring and five units in winter and summer.
Resolution: A student wishing to take more than the maximum units/hours may file a petition through the Counseling and Advisement Center. High school students wishing to enroll full time must receive approval from the admissions and records office and will be charged enrollment fees for all courses taken when they enroll in 11.5 or more units in any one term or semester.
Explanation: Your academic history shows that you previously attempted this class two or more times with a non-satisfactory grade.
Resolution:
1. If this is your third attempt, you are required to complete a Three-Peat Petition.
2. If this is your fourth attempt, you will need a Course Repeat Petition. Courses related in content (families) are limited to four enrollments.
Explanation: This class requires a pre-requisite.
Resolution: : If you passed the prerequisite class at another college, please submit the Prerequisite Clearance Form and attach unofficial transcripts. You may also meet with a counselor to determine whether you meet the prerequisite for the course.
Explanation: K-12 students need to receive approval from parent, K-12 school, and Citrus College to enroll in classes.
Resolution: Please submit the K-12 Concurrent Enrollment Form online.
Explanation: You do not have a registration appointment for the selected terms in order to register for classes. CVC students do not have a registration appointment.
Resolution: You need to reapply to Citrus College. Please review the Applying for Admission page.
Explanation: There is a time conflict between the class shown and the class you are attempting to add.
Resolution: Select another open section that does not have a time conflict. If you cannot find another section to accommodate your schedule, you can complete the Course Overlap Petition. Please note, instructor approval is required. All coursework missed needs to be made up on a weekly basis.
Explanation: Your opportunity to add the class you waitlisted for has passed.
Resolution: Your time to add yourself to this class has passed. Students are notified via email when their opportunity to register from the waitlist opens up and they have 48 hours to add a class. If you want to add the same section, you will need to add yourself to the waitlist again and wait your turn.
