This program offers three types of state grants: Cal Grants A, B, and C
Cal Grant Programs

Cal Grant Community College Entitlement Award
The Cal Grant Community College Entitlement Award is for students attending a California Community College (CCC). Applicants must submit a FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application, plus a verified Cal Grant GPA to the California Student Aid Commission by September 2.
Cal Grant Competitive Awards
Cal Grant B
Cal Grant B awards at Citrus College are up to $1648 per academic year (2024-2025).
Cal Grant B Foster Youth Award
Cal Grant B Foster Youth Award recipients may be eligible for up to $6000 per academic year (2024-2025).
Cal Grant C
Cal Grant C recipients may be eligible for up to $2000 per academic year (2024-2025).
Cal Grant A, B and C - Students with Dependents
Students with qualifying dependent children may be eligible for an access award per academic year (2024-2025) up to $6000 for Cal B recipients and up to $4000 for Cal C recipients.
Student Success Completion Grant
The grant was created in order to facilitate student persistence, retention, and success. The SSCG provides additional financial assistance to students attending at least 12 to 15 units per semester.
WebGrant 4 Students
WebGrants 4 Students is the student portal for Cal Grant, Chafee, and middle class scholarship awards. The California Student Aid Commission contacts students via email, thus it is critical students' information is kept current on WebGrants 4 Students accounts.
Cal Grant Deadlines
March 2 and September 2 if attending a California Community College are the deadlines each year to apply for the Cal Grant. For 2024-2025 the March 2 deadline has been moved to April 2, 2024.
Financial Aid Application Deadline
To apply, you need to complete either the FAFSA application at studentaid.gov or the California Dream Act application at dream.csac.ca.gov. Be sure to include Citrus College's school code (001166) so Citrus College can receive your application.
Cal Grant GPA Verification
If you are currently attending Citrus College, the financial aid department will submit your GPA electronically if you have the following:
- You have at least 16 cumulative degree applicable or transfer units completed and posted on your Citrus College academic transcript. In progress courses do not count.
- You have provided your high school graduation date and your Social Security number (SSN) to the admissions and records program. Please note that AB 540 students must complete a California Dream Act application and are not required to have a Social Security number (SSN).
