Established by his family in memory of longtime professor Glen H. Ross, this award will be granted to applicants who have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Up to five (5) $1,000 awards will be granted for spring 2024
How To Apply for the Professor Glen H. Ross Memorial Scholarship
1. Please complete the Citrus College Foundation Scholarship Application
2. Complete an essay of approx. 300 to 500 words using three out of the following four writing prompts:
- What does empathy mean to you? In what ways do you strive to learn and show empathy in your life? How do you plan to use your education to grow in/show empathy?
- What is an important life lesson you’ve learned? Who or what helped you learn it? How are you different because of it in positive ways?
- Describe a time that you didn’t get something that you really wanted. What do you take away from that experience?
- What are your academic and/or career goals and how will this scholarship help you achieve these goals?
3. Completed essays and applications should be returned together to the Citrus College Foundation by email (foundation@citruscollege.edu) or may be returned to the Foundation Office located in the Administration Building (AD-131)
4. Completed applications are due by Wednesday, May 1, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.
5. A committee of volunteer readers comprised of faculty members, family and college administrators will review and grade applications by May 17, 2024; students will be notified of selections made by May 24, 2024. Scholarship awards will be made by June 7, 2024.
