Funded through a generous donation from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the Native American California Community College Students Scholarship seeks to make college more affordable and accessible for students enrolled in a federally recognized Native American, American Indian, or Alaska Native tribe and attending a California Community College.
Scholarship Overview
The Native American California Community College Students Scholarship is non-competitive in nature. To receive an award, applicants need to meet the eligibility requirements and complete an application through the Financial Aid Department (see PDF application below)
Scholarships will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis until all available funds are disbursed.
What is the award amount for 2023-2024?
- Maximum of $2,500 per academic year
- Maximum of two (2) annual awards
Scholarships may be used to cover the cost of fees, books, supplies, and other related educational expenses.
Student Eligibility Requirements
Applicants at Citrus College must:
- be enrolled in six (6) or more units
- be enrolled in a certificate or degree program or be a first-year undeclared student.
- have a minimum 2.5 GPA to demonstrate academic standing and progress.
- Students must be enrolled in a federally recognized Native American, American Indian, or Alaska Native tribe.
How to apply
Submit your application and documentation verifying enrollment in a federally recognized Native American, American Indian, or Alaska Native tribe to Citrus College Financial Aid Department via the Financial Aid Miscellaneous Form.
Scholarships will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to submit your application as quickly as possible! Applications will be accepted until April 20, 2024, or until all funds are allocated.
