Cal Grant Verification: Verify You Are A Student With Dependents

If you are a Cal Grant recipient attending Citrus College who has dependent children, you may be eligible for an access award of up to $6,000. The Students with Dependent Children (SWD) Grant increases the Cal Grant award by up to $6,000 for qualifying Cal Grant A and B recipients and up to $4,000 for qualifying Cal Grant C recipients.

To qualify, you must have dependent children who are under 18 years of age for whom YOU provide more than half of their financial support during the academic year.

How to Verify You Have Child Dependents

Verify through the California Student Aid Commission

Confirm your status with the California Student Aid Commission by December 31 by doing the following:

• Log into mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov
• Once signed in, you should see a pop-up notification asking you to certify your eligibility if you have been selected for the award.
• You must complete this process by December 31, 2024.

When will Citrus get my verification from CSAC?

Please allow two or more weeks from the time you update CSAC for Citrus to receive confirmation.  Just sit tight and we will take care of everything once CSAC sends the information our way.

Verify through Citrus College

Citrus College can update CSAC on your behalf.  To do that, follow these steps to verify your dependents on citruscollege.studentforms.com.

1. Click "Manage Requests" from the Needs Action tab on citruscollege.studentforms.com
2. Select the Cal Grant Student With Dependent Verification from the correct financial aid year (example 2024-2025)
3. Click the dropdown arrow and click "Fill Out" to complete the form.
4. Select an option (Yes or No) from the dropdown menu.  Click "Continue".
5. Enter your E-Sign Password (PIN) to electronically sign the form.
6. Click "OK"
7. Click "Submit"
8. Click "Finish"
