No, undocumented students are not eligible for federal financial aid (Title IV).
California Financial Aid
If you meet the non-resident exemption requirements, you may complete the CADAA - California Dream Act Application.
Institutional Financial Aid
You may be eligible for institutional financial aid. Please refer to the eligibility requirements of each scholarship or grant to determine eligibility.
AB 540 Waiver
If you meet specified criteria, including citizens, permanent residents, and undocumented students, you may be eligible for an exemption from the nonresident tuition fee. If you are a nonimmigrant person with valid visas (e.g., F-visa holders or B-visa holders) you are not eligible for this AB 540 exemption.
To apply for the AB 540 waiver, you must fill out the AB 540 California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request form and provide a copy of your official transcripts to admissions and records.
